Customer Success Director
About The Position
We’re looking for a Director of Customer Success to lead our European team and manage a portfolio of Automat-it's strategic customers in EMEA, from onboarding to assuring satisfaction while identifying business needs in the customer’s AWS environment.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to shape our European market presence while working with cutting-edge technology companies in a dynamic, multicultural environment. The successful candidate will be instrumental in building and scaling our professional services business across Europe's diverse markets.
📍 Work location - hybrid from London or Madrid
Responsibilities
The role requires proven experience in implementation services for complex IT infrastructure and cloud solutions, DevOps implementation, and automation services.
- Understanding of professional services pricing models and revenue structures
- Ability to articulate the value proposition of professional services to technical and business stakeholders
- Track record of building long-term service relationships versus transactional sales
- Onboard new customers and guide them through onboarding, ensuring a smooth transition to our product or service. Provide training and resources to help them get started effectively.
- Act as the primary point of contact for assigned customer accounts. Develop a deep understanding of their business needs and objectives\proactively engage with them to understand their evolving needs, challenges, and goals.
- Identify Cost Optimization and upselling opportunities and a need for a Dedicated DevOps or FinOps service.
- Gather feedback from customers regarding their experiences and needs. Relay this feedback to internal teams for continuous improvement.
- Encourage satisfied customers to become advocates by participating in case studies, testimonials, or referrals.
- Regularly attend business events and conferences to promote and educate prospective clients on the benefits of Automat-it.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in Customer Success, Customer Engineering, or Account Management roles in a B2B SaaS company
- 3+ years of experience in sales of complex public cloud like AWS/GCP/Azure
- 2+ years of experience leading and developing distributed Customer Success Managers or Account Managers teams in a multicultural European environment
- A proven, successful track record of generating revenue and closing business
- Experience working with or at startups/ISV companies
- In-depth experience with selling and supporting Cloud related Professional Services
- Demonstrated ability to engage and influence C-level executives
- Excellent presentation and organizational skills
- Fluent written and verbal communication skills in English. Additional European languages - an advantage
- Track record of successful collaboration with marketing, operations, and technical teams
- AWS certification and experience in cloud services sales - an advantage
- Working knowledge of Salesforce and/or HubSpot - an advantage
- Knowledge or experience in FinOps - an advantage
