As a Solutions Architect at Automat-it, I am thrilled to be presenting a lighting talk at this year’s stackconf in Munich. Beyond my own presentation, „Building high-performance apps & controlling costs with CNCF projects KEDA AND KARPENTER“, there are several aspects of the event that I’m particularly excited about.

Here are three things I can’t wait for on April 29-30. If it sparks your interest, take advantage of our special ticket offer at the bottom of this blog.

1) Connecting with the Open Source Community

stackconf is the premier IT conference bringing together professionals to discuss the latest trends and best pratices. It’s all about knowledge sharing in a relaxed atmosphere.

With some of the brightest minds in open source infrastructure and DevOps in tow, I’m eager to engage with fellow practitioners who are pushing the boundaries of what’s possible with cloud-native technologies. The hallway conversations and networking opportunities often prove just as valuable as the formal sessions, and I’m looking forward to exchanging ideas with peers who share my passion for scalable, efficient infrastructure solutions.

2) Must-See Talks: Sustainability and MultiCloud

There are 20+ speakers at the event (including myself) and there all sure to be great. I’ve highlighted two sessions in particular on my must-attend list.

First, „The Sustainable Infrastructure of the Future“ promises to address how we can build environmentally responsible infrastructure—a topic that’s increasingly important as we consider the carbon footprint of our growing cloud deployments.

Second, I’m particularly interested in „MultiCloud: Behind the Hype“ which should cut through the marketing speak and examine the practical realities of managing workloads across multiple cloud providers. Both of these align perfectly with challenges I’m helping clients navigate daily.

3) Learning About Real-World Kubernetes Implementations

While my talk focuses on specific CNCF projects like Karpenter and KEDA, I’m excited to learn how other organizations are implementing Kubernetes in production.

stackconf consistently features case studies and technical deep-dives that go beyond theory to showcase practical applications. I’m particularly interested in sessions that address the challenges of operating Kubernetes at scale and strategies for managing complex deployments.
