Automat-it partnered with leading agrotech company, BeeHero, to leverage Amazon Bedrock AI, conducting a transformative workshop that enhanced AI-driven innovation for beekeeping and agriculture.

Transforming agriculture

BeeHero, dedicated to securing global food security by protecting bee populations, utilises advanced technology to maximise pollination and provide insights into bee activity.
BeeHero installs sensors in hives and fields to collect data, which is analyzed using AI and machine learning to improve bee health and crop yields. Managing over 300,000 hives worldwide, BeeHero supports both bee populations and agriculture.

Leveraging generative AI

With an interest in exploring the potential of utilising generative AI to support its internal development team’s innovation, BeeHero partnered with Automat-it to conduct an Amazon Bedrock workshop.

This workshop focused on large language models (LLMs) and Amazon Bedrock, inspiring innovative AI use cases, and preparing the team for their in-house hackathon.
The workshop led to the ideation of several innovative projects, including a speech-to-text assistant for beekeepers and an on-call tool assistant, showcasing the practical applications of generative AI.

These advancements have the potential to save time for beekeepers and support their efforts to maintain bee health, which is crucial for agriculture and the environment.
